Ford Headlights on a Massey?

I have been looking for some original headlights for my MF 50 for some time now, however, most if not all of the ones that pop up on ebay here and then are high priced, and beat up, and they usually don't know if they are 12 or 6v. I really want some lights on my tractor for functionality. My thought is to go with some Tracto lights off of a ford 9N or something. They look sort of original, and are more common. Those seem to be available new, and you can use the wings if so desired? Would these go on my tractor with minimal modification? Thanks.

THIS SITE HAS BLACK TEARDROP LIGHTS FOR $28.00. THEY ARE 6 VOLT BUT YOU CAN GET A 12 VOLT BULB FOR $2.00 IF YOU NEED 12 VOLT. GO TO PARTS, JOHN DEERE, A MODEL AND THEN LIGHT. I HAVE A SET ON MY CASE AND THEY WORK REAL GOOD, LOOK GOOD, AND ARE ECONOMICAL. GOOD LUCK.

All tractor manufacturers bought their headlights from somebody else, or had their own design made by some other company that makes them, so interchangability is not a problem. If you don't care so much for looks, you can buy the newer ones at TSC, or where ever else, that use a halogen bulb. You can also steal one from just about any tractor out in the bone yard.

Shouldn't be a problem to use a headlight made for an 8n on your fergi.
