I have a MF180 just bought. I am getting only 500 lbs pressure to the rams. Iam a newbie with this but have been reading the shop manual and before i take the tractor apart any suggestions on what the problem might be.

Firstly, add 10 liters of hydraulic fluid above the top mark on your gauge. After that tell us your pressure reading. The american made 180 has a tendency to suck air due to their setup after age took effect.

Do you have the valves under seat from factory, first step would be to find a pressure relief valve. If it the factory setup, the relief valve is attached to the auxiliary pump. So you must remove the 3 pth cover to access this area.
