Good Day: I had asked previous about a 135 diesel
leaking out engine oil out of the "welch" plug at rear of the block and with very high oil pressure, also a bouncing neddle on the pressure gauge.
Just to up date a bit, took the engine into the shop to check for a rolled bearing, instead we found a stuck oil pump relief valve hence 85lbs plus of pressure. All is back together and owner drove away happy with 63 lbs and a steady neddle on the gauge.
Again thanks for the reply[s]and help, very much appreciated.

I nailed it!!! That's rare... Glad you found out what the problem was. After reassembling mine, I recall the welch plug you speak of. It fills the end-hole where the oil galley was drilled. 85 psi, wow. Better to have too much than not enough. Had to be hard on the pump, though.

I have oil pumped to the top of my block. Just waiting for the front support to get back from the machine shop so I have something to bolt a radiator to. I am dying to start this thing.

I overfilled my belly by a large margin, but that's to be expected. I still have to install my standpipe, so I will pump it out then.

Anyway, glad it was a cheap (relative) fix.

Let's go Mountaineers,

Aaron
