Well, i got the 1130 to stay running, then it had oil running out the exhaust so i tore it down and replaced the valve seals, and its still got oil running out the exhaust. So what could it be, its got a new turbo but could it be bad?? Its got a wee little blow by. This engine was just rebuilt has got 5 hrs on it.

The other big problem is the shifting the thing wants to get stuck in park, and/or be in 2 gears at once, my book don't show how to get all this adjusted.

well i don't think the stuff coming out of the exhaust is from under-use. I hooked the brush-hog up and this stuff is practically pouring out the exhaust elbow and running down, i has the texture of oil, i am running rotella 15-40w is this the wrong oil maybe?? What all would cause this? Turbo, valve seals, clogged return line on turbo maybe, it seems to me like it is coming out of the turbo and then running down to the ports and out. Where can i find this micro lock?

Sorry bout all the questions i am just kinda dumbfounded right now.

Well sinse it is a new motor what else could it be?? How are you guys keeping the the tractor still if your not using park? I thought about putting a line lock in the brake system, would that work?

Micro lock has a mechanical brake lock, but it has to be the one with seals compatible with hydraulic fluid. I have one installed on the left brake only and am happy with the system on my ll35. I would not use it to hold a 600 bushel wagon on my steep hills, but it is great to quickly and accurately hold the tractor for implement hookups.

Common to be stuck in park. Probably a bent parking pawl lever on the park housing on the left side of tranny case. Drain tranny oil down and swing empty fuel tank out of the way or remove tank and park housing, has 8 or 10 3/8 bolts holding it on and replace park pawl. Cures 95% of park disengaging problems.

Hook something to your tractor and run it hard. I have an 1150 that will begin to slobber oil out of the exhaust if you pet it for any period of time. If you have nothing heavy to hook to, have your dealer hook it to a dyno and work it. They will be familier with the problem.

rrbgtt, I have a 1150 slobbering out oil through the exhaust. How long do you need to work the tractor under load? I have used it for grinding feed, but that didnt seem to stop it. I assume, you advise putting it under a heavier load. Please get back,

It is a common problem among diesel engines operated at idle for too long or under less than 40% of their capability, very common in generators. I did'nt realize this until it happened to me and my local dealer explained it to me. It is actually carbon and unburned fuel from an engine not reaching correct operating temperatures with appears to be oil coming out of the exhaust. Since you have just rebuilt your engine, may not be the problem, but worth checking into. As for the park problem, it is very common with this tractor. Mine will stick in park often enough that I try not to put in park anymore.

Parking gear sticking? in reply to rrbgtt, 12-17-2006 17:40:03
We had 2-1100's & both would stick into park. I used them witout problem but never pushed gear shift over 3/4 into slot. My Dad won't use Park in the remaining 1100, today for that reason. Safety hazard! Ours had a grease fitting directly onto shifting collar accessed through gear shift slot in dash. We greased them often without helping Park at all.
