Mike, Are you speaking of the axle hubs on a row
crop? Remove the 4 bolts and cast lug. If you have
heat available, heat up the hub as hot as you can
get it. Then with a heavy drift-such as an old
heavy shaft and with a mall, drive the hub inward
for a ways. Then emery the axle before you drive
outwards. If no access to heat soak often for a
few days with WD 40 or? You will need of course to
remove the rear wheel and block well. Once it starts to move you have it made. Chuck

I just did the brakes on my 30 and I think they are the same. You take the snap ring off and then you need a puller. I made one. If you look at the drum there are 2 - 1/2" threaded holes across from each other 6 1/2" apart. I made a 1" thick bar 8"long with 2 holes drilled 6 1/2" apart and then I put a 5/8" tapped hole in the middle between them for a hardened bolt to run up against the end of the shaft. Now the shaft looks solid but it isn"t. It is hollow. There is just a thin round plate they press into the end of it to keep the oil from getting out so you need to make or find a round slug that is just a little smaller than the shaft to run your bolt up against to press on or you will just bend the little plate and push it in. You may need to heat the drum up around the shaft. Be careful not to get the shaft too hot or you will burn the seal behind the drum. NAPA has the seals and if they are the same as a 30 the part # is SKF 27470. The shaft is 2.875" dia and the housing that it presses into is 3.875" and the seal is .475 thick. My seals were leaking so I had to take the drums off to fix that too otherwise it was suppose to just be a brake job. Hope this helps. Larry
