Look at what you already have get the numbers and call your tire supplier. Could be the tires yu have are on the old sizing system. They will get you the correct size. But also you should measure your rims. Where the bead seats is the width of the rim. ie. 12.5 I have a Super H farmall that had 14.5s on it way too big for the rims (width) Point is that even though you now have say 12.5x 28 it could be the propper tire is a 11.5x 28 dependent upon rim width. As a side bar, I bought Kelly tires for about a hundred $ les per tire.

Hi

There were two popular size
14.9 X 24 and 12.4 X 28

It depends which rims you already have
It depends what you intend to do with the tractor

larger tire is heavier but gives better flotation and traction narrow tire will be better for row cultivating and tilling.

I have both here...only problem "for me" I cannot use the 2 furrow X 12" plow with the 14.9 tires otherwise no problems.

A lot of them came with 14.9x24 tires. Dave

Well, you should be able to read the size on the current tire. Like the others say, it's probably something like a 12.8x28.

As far as what tire I recomend, I've seen mostly Firestone Feild & Roads on those smaller tractors, and we had a pair on our 165 when we got it. One got sliced open pretty bad though, so we replaced them with Titan's. If it gets used like most tractors of that size, a cheaper tire will be fine. You can also go with a turf tire if you do alot of yard work (mowing the front 40).

The F&R's seem to last a good while, and are a better priced tire too.

Sloan,

The standard rear wheel on the MF 35 is a 28 inch and they came standard with 11/28 tyres.

11-28 is the old designation. That same size tire is now known as 12.4-28.

It depends on what size rear rims you have. Mine has 28 inch rims and I run 12.4x28.
