Hello,
Dad's 1100 blew a head gasket last Friday when making corn stalk bedding. The tractor has been our main tractor for years and has had very few issues. Since the sheet metal is off I was thinking about painting the tractor while it is laided up. So I was wondering what colors I need to get and where to get a new set of decals.
Thanks in advance.

Scott,
The paint codes are listed on the Massey collector's web site. Go to masseycollectors.org. On the left side of the home page is a box with many options. Scroll down to paint codes and click on it. I don't think the MF flint grey listed there is the flint metallic grey. Perhaps they can add the metallic pigments to it to create a close color match.

Your tractor has four colors on it-Massey red, flint metallic grey, silver mist grey and black. The hood and fenders are obviously red. The dash is silver mist grey. The grill screen is alternating silver mist grey and black sections. All of the cast parts and the three point hitch are flint metallic grey.

All of these paints are available from any Massey dealer as should be the decals. The red is readily available from many sources including Tractor Supply. The Massey grey or flint grey they have is not the correct color as it is not the flint metallic grey. I've seen many Massey's painted with this wrong color. It is not as dark as the flint metallic grey and does not look good.

Another possible source for decals is Maple-Hunter Decals in Riley, IN 47871.

I hope this information helps.
