Weent to take a look at a MF 50. Problem, there was ZERO movement at the lift arms. It does have an aux. remote under seat. Tried all positions of remote handle--in order for lift arms to work with lever on right of seat.....NO ANYTHING
I could lift the arms from the rear with NO resistance. What are some of the possiblities? No fluid was moving from remote. Dipstick for hydraulics was missing. Put a screw drver in to check tranny fluid, fluid was new, which scares me. Thanks in advance, Mark

My 65 came the exact the same way. Mine was a destroyed pump. The pistons had come apart and therefore was producing no pressure. Total cost was around 135 plus 20 for the control valve. I would like to know if it works, but the engine is still in my shop... Actual rebuild was easy, after the lift cover was removed...

I wonder if the control fork came off the control valve? Has it got the side plates so you can gain access to the hydraulic pump chamber? If so, you may be able to determine the problem by opening up the side plate and looking to see if the control fork is attached to the control valve or the lift cylinder is cracked, leaking severely, etc.

Hi,
Any number of possibilities here. Start off by engaging the PTO and press the pedal to the floor. If the PTO works OK then you are at least getting drive to the pump.

Yes, I drove the tractor around--ground speed and engine speed both turn the pto correctly.
I felt for any humming or vibration in the hoses coming off of remote--nothing. Thanks Mark.
I tried as many combinations of remote as I could think of....I guess when the remote AND the lift lever neither make it move, I wonder if it narrows anything down? Thanks for your help. Mark

Hi,
The next step would be to remove the side cover and see if the lever commands are reaching the pump via the linkage. As you have only looked at it, is it worth going any further?

Ihave the same problem with mf50,it has aloader that runs off of valve under seat.loader works fine.if engine is at idle you can hear it working harder as you try to lift 3point hitch.
