I have a Massey 50 high crop. Not a lot of experience with the old tracors, but i want to fix it up.The tranny had a bad go, gears and shafts in hard shape. The planetary is ground to dust, reverse idler missing a tooth and splines are burred pretty bad.

I'd like to find a donor,,,just wondering if any other models would fit, or if the internals would be interchangeable.

Any help is much appreciated.

When I said 4 speed it ment, 3 forward and one reverse.

You can find them all over in the states for less than 200 bucks.

mine hsa the 3 speed with high and low.I'm located in Nova Scotia, Canada so I will be looking for something around here. Not many big tractor salvages, so i hope to find a couple other models that are the same(or close enough)

I did find one for $1000, but he wants the old one in exchange and I would like to find a little better price if I can.Got a pretty tight budget and another grand into the old girl is pushing the limit.

I think you will find that one out a Massey 65 will fit if yours is a 4 speed with high and low range. I know a guy that has one out of a 65, he is near Nashville TN.
