Wondered if anyone would have a photo of a 135 fitted with a fibreglass cab (massey ferguson 2B). I've got one from a MF165 to fit to the MF135 i'm restoring and wondered what differences there may be. I do know that the 165 bonnet is higher so did the cab sit lower on the 135 (with shorter mountings on the wings) or did they fit a different panel above the battery box.
Also it has very high steel plates below the doors (about 12 inches) which are awkward to climb over, was this normal? Any photos or info would be really useful!

Hi,
It was a horrible cab!!!! But better than a soaking!!!
We had one on our 1965 135 until it was removed to fit a loader. I think that you may have problems getting it to fit. The mudguards (fenders) are higher than the bonnet on the 135 and approximately level on the 165. As I recall the beam under the centre of the tractor was wept up on both sides. This may be a help if you can position the cab on the fenders and see how much you need to make up from the beam and over the bonnet.

Thanks for your ideas. Pretty sure the cabs are the same for both tractors because it fits well everywhere except the bonnet because of the height differance between the 2 tractors, not a major problem as I suspect MF made 2 sections, one for each and I can easily make one. I was only curious because of the weird step to get in and the fact that they have seperate sections on top of the wings that the cab sits on therefore they could have been shorter on a 135. The only thing I've seen is a Britains model, not exactly the definate answer I would have liked! Cant seem to find a photo anywhere, I suspect because of the requirement for safety cabs in most places which we dont have here.

I've seen pictures but can't rememember where. I think the two tractors use different cabs but I'm not positive. I adapted a cab from an MF 20 loader onto my 135. I had to extend the 3 pt. linkages so the top link wouldn't hit the cab. I've also ran an MF 30 loader with a cab. The 30 cab was quite a bit bigger. Both cabs were sims industrial models from the same era. The 20 is an ind. 135 and the 30 is an ind. 165. Hope this helps. Dave
