The fuel gauge on my 1100 MF quite working. Which is the most likely culprit, sender or gauge? I don't want to change both if I don't have to. Dave (Alberta, Can.)

With the tractor running check to see that you get 12VDC on one side of gauge. If no 12VDC the check wiring and the oil pressure switch. I just brought a sending unit for $35 at MF dealer.

make shure the tank is grounded to the frame, and also remove the sender and see if the float fell off or sinks in the fuel. also to check the gage ground the lead on the sender, the gage should go to full if it doesent the gage may be bad. good luck.
