I bought this tractor recently and noticed
that with a single or double acting ram the
hydralic pump keeps running when raising or
lowering to there limits.Isnt the levers suppose
to pop back into the center position by themselfs
instead of me watching it very closely?

Ron, FWIW, the lever on the 255 does kick out. Not sure I like it that way but I usually beat it to the stop. Would check as others have said for binding in the lever assembly.

Most hydraulic valves don't return to center. However, depending on what control valve you have, it may be adjustable to return at the end of stroke. On my 135 using the 3 pt. hyds. it is. I would guess your 275 uses a different pump for aux. hydraulics. Running the hydraulics against the relieve valve causes heat and could cause major damage. The pump runs all the time regardless unless it's the 3 pt. pump. It only stops with the clutch all the way down. Hope this helps. Dave

On my 165 with dual clutch that correct, my 165 with Ipto it's not . My hyro levers kick out at the end of stroke on both tractors. david

Hi,
As has been said, look for a knurles screw in the vicinity of where the lever joins the valve block, it may be a screw that will allow you to select which type of function you want. This of course depends on your valve type. 'Klck-out' valves are available.
