I recently bought a 175 diesel that had the original tach drive alternator replaced with a 2 wire internal regulator delco alternator. So now I have no tach drive. Does anyone make an internal regulator tach drive alternator I can replace this with ?

Thanks Scott

I found one at Worthington ag parts and the number is Wr-1100887 and I think it has the tach drive on it. It is $150 and needs an external voltage regulator but they are not hard to install. B. Jones

Dear Scott,

I think you could use one from an Allis 190-xt or 200. I also think some other models would work. The only down fall is that they did not have the internal regulator on them. It would be fairly easy to mount one though. We have a 180 diesel with the old generator tach drive and would like one also. Several months ago I found them but I can't quite remember on what site.

If you find one or find a good way to rig it, let us know.
