A neighbor just bought a MF 20 with loader and front mounted hydraulic pump. The pump is still connected to the hoses, but is not mounted on the tractor. The shaft it fits into is very loose in the front of the tractor. I have not seen it yet, but am planning on correcting this. Are there bearings on that shaft between the pump and crankshaft, and how difficult will they be to replace? Thanks for the help,
Josh

Josh, There are no bearings on the pump shaft. The
pump is bolted to front cast frame, The shaft
turns by LH threads into the crankshaft pulley
mounted adaptor. The adaptor has 4 rubber mtd.
bushings and the center is threaded for the shaft.
When the pump is bolted on, that holds the shaft
solid. All this, assuming it is a MF industrial
loader. If you need other help, it is helpful to
also post the loader no. Could be more than one
model. Chuck

That makes sense. It is an industrial loader, but I'm not sure which model yet. Thanks for the help,
Josh
