I have MF 35 Turf special 4cylinder gas, with Tach/speedometer, oil pressure gauge, gas gauge and Alternator. Lower slung then MF-35 but only slightly. I've Plowed and Disked with mine. I mostly use it for pulling finish mower, moving snow and grading long driveway. I bought it in 1992 at $2800 incuding 6' back blade. Rebuilt engine in 1997 or 98. Motor will out live me. I'm real happy with it.

I think the special is the stripped model. Metal pan seat, no tach, no oil pressure gauge, no multipower, no power steering, no differential lock.

The turf special is sold as an industrial model. It is not the same same as a special AG version. Dave

Turf model is in my Mf-135 parts book. Primarily it has low profile tires and a different front axle. I'm thinking the basic tractor is the same other than the tires and axle and for the tractor there is special, the simple model (and in MF-135 lower horspower from a Z-134 engine) and the Deluxe model with the cushion seat, tachometer, other gauges and options for more transmission gears, differential lock and power steering even though the basic parts of engine and transmission and axle housings are the same.

The turf model of a 135 is the 2135. It was also available with a manual shuttle transmission, hand and foot throttle and had higher transport speeds than the 135. I'm not sure about the straight 35. I'll try to find it. Puddingsworld website has a brochure for the 2135 turf special. If anything it is a deluxe model with the most options. Dave

Go to this site: AnnaTEFKa It is mostly dutch but if you go under Folders and then MF industrie I think, it has an american brochure for the an MF 35 turf special. With manual shuttle it had a top speed in forward or reverse of over 27 mph. This should help you out. Dave

The turf special is a low center of gravity tractor with a wider front axle and turf tires. I'm not sure if it is available with a manual shuttle transmission. The 2135 turf special had faster travel speeds than the AG model. Look on the Puddingsworld website. It has a brochure for a 2135 Turf. I think one of the other sites has info on a 35 turf special as well. Hope this helps. Dave

Are their any difference in the values of Turf vs. AG?

I don't know about values. You would think a turf special, especially with a manual shuttle would be worth more but there is a much greater demand for the Ag model as a work tractor. The turf specials are rarer. Dave
