Does anybody have a picture of an MF 550 gear shift linkage that they know to be as originally manufactured? I'm having trouble getting mine set up so that the tranny stays in all gears. I'm wondering if my linkage is bent. The linkage seems to run awful close to the left front wheel.

Thanks, JP.

Hi,
I presume that you are referring to one of the gears in the gearbox and not the roadwheel. If there was any bending in the selector rods they would not move smoothly. Assuming that all of the gears are in good condition the problem may be either damaged/broken/bent detent springs/balls on the selector rods. It is also possible that you have major wear on the rod ball groove..
