i was offered a MH Forage Clipper, don't know model, but it has a elevator like a corn picker, but a sickle head on it. Where do you get parts, and also, are these considered rare?? It is for free, and appears to all be there, just oil, grease and a little sweat. Could i pull one of these behind a Farmall H, and also can i harvest corn with the head or do i need a corn head? where can i get 1 if i need it? thanks for help. ps: also he has 1 JD corn picker and 2 McCormick Deering Binders for parts to make 1 if interested, i don't want, and otherwise, they'll go to scrap. will let go for little nothing if interested, just post ?? here and i'll get back. computer broke, so can't check email, but can call (308) 368-7542, ask for Ryan if intersted. thanks again for help

Massey had the No.2 and the No.20. Excellent list
of features but dealers were mostly pushing the
tractor and tillage line and combines. These had
a corn hd,sickle head, or windrowed crops head.
PTO or 226 ci engine.I hate to see another piece
go to scrap. Someone with energy snap it up. I'll
have to be content with my books. Chuck

That chopper was a 1946-or so vintage.Shows one in a 1948 Buyers Guide I have.Just moved andthe book is stored away right now. I don't remember for sure seeing a corn attachment in the book for it.

There were a couple models, Engine or PTO drive?
These machines had capacity. 6 cylinder engines,
with real power. Possible to cut a few acres of corn w/ sickle head, but not fun. The unit needs
the engine to be run on a PTO "H". Parts would require finding a second parked harvester.Outside
for years? The engine my have salvage value. Good
luck.

Again, how long outside? Bearings, belts ruined by
the elements. The corn head was quite tall, and
this field chopper ran well enough to outperform
the 600 series New Holland, with that little air
cooled engine. If you get serious about finding the corn head, you will need about 40+ PTO HP to
run a one row machine. They are out there, parked
mostly under a tree. Made into the early fifties,
when Harry dirtied the water forever. Should be a
2"x3" aluminum plate on the frame, model number.
Another dead end in the correct red line of implements. Ever see Harry's flail chopper, an A
frame throat over a flail bar, peculiar design, in
1958 Dealer inventory. Missing from the hayfield,
threrafter. Sad MHF saga.
