I just bought a 1976 Massey 1105. It does not appear to have a park position. The Dash has been painted so I can't tell what each position should be. I remember using an older 1105 years ago that had a park position. That one did not have multipower, this one does. I have manuals ordered but do not have them yet. Did the multipower units not have a park position? Where I think I remember park being is reverse in this tractor.

All mutlipower trannies had a park as there is no mechanical connection between the gears and the engine when the engine is shut off. There is no charge pump pressure to hold the clutch pack into high and the tractor will roll. It has been 25 years since I have been on an 1105 and if my swiss cheese memory is right, park is all the way to the left and up. If it is going into reverse, maybe there is a linkage or shift gate issue allowing it to hit reverse rather than park. See if you can pull off some tin in the cab and observe the linkage and gates. There should be three? shift rods going down R&1, 2&3 and park. Make sure all move freely and lightly oil pivot points and gate to lube them. The rods should be adjustable and you may be able to compensate for a worn gate and sloppy lever. Not going into park is a different issue and we can address those later if not linkage. You need park as these is no brake locks either.
