Can anyone tell me how the tracks are adjusted? I remember using a greasegun to adjust a 200 model, but I can't find a zerk fitting on this 300.(It's probably an early 1970's made in Italy) thanks, mw

My book on MF industrial equipment lists it as having hydraulic track tensioner as standard equipment. Maybe the grease zerk was taken out and replaced with a plug or something cause it leaked? or is missing? Hope this helps. Dave

I've taken out a few plugs, looked over it many times, but see nothing that could be a zerk fitting or a place to put one. Any idea that the hydraulic system of the crawler itself may be used to tension the tracks? I'm grasping at straws. thanks

I doubt that tractor hydraulics would do it. Maybe you could take some of the covers off the track frames and look at the shaft that comes out and follow it back to the Cylinder. The track adjuster is like a hydraulic cylinder. You just need to figure out where the port is for the grease. Is everything really clean? I'm still thinking that the zerk is missing or a plug was put in the hole. Taking some covers off might help or looking on the other side if only one side is loose. It's hard for me cause I can't see it. It's got to be there somewhere. Maybe the cylinder is backwards and the fitting is close to the idler. Track adjusters usually but not always have a cover you take off to get at them. Hope this helps. Maybe posting on the heavy equipment forum would help. It is further down when you click on all forums. I think there are others with MF 300's. Good luck dave
