I found a Massey Harris 44 Diesel, the lady wants 150 bucks for it, she said it needed a part to fix it, but she forgot what part it was her son told her, she is going to find out and let me know, it looks to be in fair condition, it needs a steering wheel, are these hard to find. Let me know if it is worth 150 bucks thanks

As Old says, the standard Massey Harris steering wheel for sale on eBay should fit it. I think I paid about $74 for the one for my 30.

well I am going to try and go by tonight and see if she found out what was wrong with it. Would it be hard to find a steering wheel for it. I am in Oklahoma if any of you Massey guys are interested let me know, I am more of an allis man myself but it was a cool looking tractor. If it is not real expensive to fix I think I will pick it up.

Sounds like one to jump on. Shoot you could part it out and make 3-10 times as much from it just in parts. As far as a steering wheel if one from a MH30 would fit it I would have a useable one. E-mail is open. By the way I think the one from a 30 would fit but I would have to look to see if they look the same since I have both a 44 and a pair of 30s

Would be great, if it runs!! If it needs an injector pump, you are looking at $700 - $900 for a rebuilt one. That's the trouble with a Diesel. When you get it running good it will be worth between 1500 and 2000 if in fair to good condition.

Scrap value. in reply to toe, 10-30-2006 10:21:52
That price is less than the scrap metal price. I don't see how you could go wrong unless you want to do a better-than-new correct-police-approved restoration on it.
