The 3pt on my 35 isn't working right and I admit I know 0 about the internal workings. If I lift the inside lever all the way, it doesn't lift until I pull the Draft lever up almost all the way. If I pull the draft lever up all the way then the arms come up and it sounds like the tractor is trying to pull itself apart. If I push both levers down, it still trys to lift until I stop the pto. No 2 stage clutch on this tractor. After stopping PTO, the tractor will let the arms down. There doesn't seem to be any thing other than all the way up or all the way down with the tractor running. Whats up with this .

Sounds like the sticking valve on my MF135. Big Dean has more info on sorting hydraulic problems.

Hi,
I think Smokey is on the right track. The valve may well be sticking but may not be the cause of the problem. MF 35s had an aluminium oscillator driven by the pump shaft which effectively 'rocked' the control valve back and forth to keep it free to move. The aluminium oscillators (later ones were steel) are prone to break and you loose control of your linkage. Drain the oil to the level of the bottom bolt on the RH side cover and remove it. You will see the lever coming down from above. When you operate the control levers the pump lever should be in contact with the levers at all times. If the pump lever stays in one place, that's your problem. Nothing short of top off and pump out.
