Still having problems with the clutch, actually shifting, on our 550. It"s a standard transmission. It"s better when we first start when the clutch is cold. After a couple hours the transmission becomes impossible to change gears. We adjusted the transmission brake and thought that had it fixed, but today the same thing after combining a few acres. We haven"t adjusted the clutch, but the clutch doesn"t seem to be slipping, it stops the combine fine. Any ideas?

I would take that clutch apart and see how it looks. Its not that bad a job. First time might take a day, but after that you will be able to get it on and off in a couple of hours.

It could be full of dirt or lining dust causing it to be sticky.

Ussually, they just wear down and slip.

Good Luck, JP.
