Just a quick question about the Temp Gauge on a TO35 Gas. The owners manual refers to operating the tractor with the temp gauge in the green. Thats simple but the gauge i have has no green section only a temp scale going upto 250. Today i have been bush hogging and the temp got up to 200. Is this good or bad? and what is the safe operating temp?
Any help appreciated

As long as you do not enter the boiling zone and still got your coolent yor are ok irregardless of the indicator. In other words as long as you have it full of coolant you will not harm your engine.Once you begin to lose coolent find out right now&fix it. CENTAUR

Thanks for that. Having made the post i took a look at the radiator and lo and behold it was blocked almost solid with fluffy seed heads from the field i had just bushhoged. Having removed them the temp never got higher than 160 on the next field.
