I am looking at an IT manual and trying to figure out how the multi-power works. From what I can tell when pressurized fluid enters the clutch through the drilled input shafts, the clutch engages the overdrive pinion gear, which is the high input gear. Is this correct? If it is, could a spacer be placed in the clutch housing that would actually cause the multipower to be locked in high and give engine braking? What am I missing? Looking for a cheap way to solve the obvious problem.

The clutch pack can be bolted together locking it into high range that makes it a direct drive but you have to do something about the low range gears to keep them from meshing so the transmission will shift out of gear. If you will email me I have pictures with details on how you do that.
