hi: Does anyone know if a sending unit for a 240-250 MF would fit and work on my late model 165?

Thanks in advance; Gaplowboy

Are you referring to the sender unit in the fuel tank? If so, in all probability the unit will fit and work to a point. The float arm for the 165 will be considerably longer. So whilst the other might work it will not be accurate in the lower regions.

Sending unit for what? If they're mechanical gauges rather than electric, they come complete with gauge and sending unit. If it's the same size hole in the dash and same thread in the block, they should work. 165 gauges should be easy to get. Dave

Should clarify. Mechanical temp. gauge is one piece. Mechanical oil pressure is two piece, but the gauge and sending unit need to be calibrated to work with each other. Hope this helps. Dave
