I found what may be dad's old tractor. He is looking for any papers that may have the s/n on them. I needed to ask however, the number plate on the dash was 5IIII71 (if memory serves me right). It did say MH on it, so I am sure its a MH and not MF. Somebody please offer me insight on what the serial number means? Seems like a lot of I s in it. I will have more questions I assure you as the re-furbishment continues.
Thanks much!

I appreciate that, yes there was one too many numbers. The way it was on the plate, I could have sworn they were I s instead of 1s, but hey, Im new at this right?!
57 puts it about what I thought, I saw that MH only made 50s for 56 and 57 right? They have kindof a copper engine and tranny color, instead of silver.
Thanks for your quick reply. BTW what paint do you use on the sheet metal? Is there a paint code or something? I don't paint but my Bro-n-law does, and he would appreciate the input.
