I have rebuilt an engine in my MH Pony. I've put it back together, and the engine turns over until I put the crank pulley on. That makes it so tight the crankshaft is too tough to turn. Take the pulley back off, and it turns freely. Anyone know what I did wrong? Thanks

The engine is hard to turn with the pulley tightened. With the pulley off or half on, it's easy to turn. I did put a few of the shims in, maybe I didn't put in enough of them. ANy more suggestions are always welcome. Thanks for all your help!

Does it get hard to turn when the pulley is tighten or just put on. How tight is the seal?
John
