I found a 383 Massey for sale. Was wondering what you all thought of them good or bad. Seems to be priced right at $10,000. Anyway thanks in advance.

Any of the 300 series tractor are good if they were maintained and looked after. They were a top sellar for Massey and still get top dollar at dealers and auctions.

I ran one of the earlier models and if I remember right. there was something about having to flip a lever to use either the remotes or pto.

I think it was a 383 we rented a few years back when our 285 was in the shop for PTO work. If I'm correct they're about 60-65 HP, and it was a pretty nice little tractor. We used it to cut hay and run the green chopper. Only thing I didn't like on that one was that it had the 4 speed trans w/out the Multi-Power option. Seemed to keep the same basic design as all the older models (3 pt arms were almost identical to those on out 165), with newer sheet metal and a newer engine. I've seen older models like 285's go for $10,000 or more, so I'd say if it looks good, go for it!
