I bought a pony for my daughter to take to the shows . Unfortunatly the previous owner skunked us by putting a light skim coat of JB weld and paint over the crack in the block. It didn't take long for it to start leaking. I cant seem to find a Block from any of the tractor grave yards in NY. I would be willing to go to Ohio , or Pennsylvania if needed to find one. Would anyone know of a yard or someone else that might have one?

Thanks ED

You might look into having the block repaired by the furnace braze process. It'll fix it as good as new and might be cheaper also. Talk to your local automotive or industrial engine machine shop.

It may be possible for a good welding shop to close up that crack. It works best when they have an oven big enough to have the entire block hot while doing the welding or brazing. There is such a shop in Nevada Iowa but I don't know of something close to you.

Watch out for Continental N62 blocks for the Allis G. All the internal parts interchange but the blocks don't.

I have one in the barn that I had tanked and found a crack in the water jacket by the freeze plugs. It never leaked antifreeze. It would have to be bored and the crack repaired but it could be used. If you are interested shoot me an e-mail.
