Neighbor has what I think is a MF Industrial tractor that is about the same size as my 135 with a loader on it. Would the loader work on my tractor? It looks to be a 4 cyl gas motor on his tractor where mine is a 3 cyl perkins gas. Would the pump bolt to my engine?

I have a MF 2135 which is the industrial version of the 135. It's yellow and the only other difference is that the front axle is significantly stronger. It has a MF100 loader and I'm occasionally breaking the welds on the bottom plate of the loader (bolted under the radiator) whenever I pick up something like a bucket full of gravel. I've also tried lifting a round bale (~2000#) and succeeded but blown out the steering cylinder. I'm pretty sure that if you used that loader with a regular 135, you'd break the front axle. If you really want a front loader (and, I admit, they're handy), you should probably find a bigger tractor.

Nobody knows because the two tractors have different parts books and different parts. The manual for the loader will list what tractors its designed to fit but may only mention industrial tractors. So it may not help. The brackets for my MF-236 loader are specific to my MF-135 and they bolted to the bottom of the front axle support and the bottom of the clutch bell housing. I had to make entirely new brackets to mount that loader on my JD-4020. I don't remember the manual showing any specific industrial tractors. I'm certain that different tractors took different brackets and that the MF-236 loader was too much loader for my MF-135. It was made to stand up to a MF-274 tractor with front wheel assist, 74 hp. It is about strong enough for the 4020 which hasn't broken the loader yet, but I can't say that for the buckets.

I'm sure with enough steel carving, bending, welding, and drilling that the industrial loader can be mounted on any tractor. Whether the tractor will have enough weight on the rear wheels to move with a bucket full of gravel is another thing and whether the front axle will break instantly or next year is another unknown. Its not healthy for the front axle to pick up enough gravel in the bucket that the back wheels lift and so you have the total weight of tractor AND gravel on the front axle. I can tell by the weld beads that a previous owner broke the axle in my MF-135 with that over sized loader.

The four cylinder gas motor could be a Continental, probably not a Z-145. There's no place to bolt a loader hydraulic pump on the Z-145 though there is a small one for the power steering.

It would probably work. You would need to get the proper pulley with driveshaft adapter to fit on the crankshaft. Being that it is an industrial loader it might be heavier on the front end of the tractor than a farm loader. Industrial tractors have stronger front axles than ag tractors. If you knew what model tractor and loader someone on here may have done it already. Hope this helps. Dave

Big Dean is the best one with the answers. Industrials have pumps set up standard for loaders etc and power steering while the MF135 does not.
