In disconnecting my Throttle rod plate assembly to adjust the spring, I disconnected the Compensator spring link from the rocker. When I unhooked it, the compensator spring fell to the floor. I cannot find where the other end of the spring was hooked to the motor. (I am using the IT Shop Manual for these names). Any ideas would sure help! EC

There is a hole on the bottom of the upper radiator hose outlet on the engine for the end of compensator spring to hook through. I always used a piece of welding rod with a hook bent on the end of it to stretch the spring and hook it with.

Thanks for your help Big Dean! I found the hole this afternoon when I was changing oil, but wasn't sure it was what I wanted to use. You made my day!
Chris
