I'm working on a Massey Ferguson 1100. I am having problems getting it to release from park. I have adjusted the linkages,(to the best of my guessing ability). Here is what it does. When the engine is running and the tractor is in park, it will not release unless the linkage is hit with a hammer. Pulling on the lever will not release it. This is on level ground(shop floor). If it is placed in park and the engine is not started, it will release, If the engine is run, then shut off it will not release.

Also, I am waiting for my decal set to come. My dealer said a complete set(with all decals the tracor came with when new) is not available. They ordered me a "set" but I am not sure what is in it. Is it true that this set is not available anymore? Is there another aftermarket source for a good quality set that has everything? Or, can each individual decal be ordered separately? Thanks for the help!

My 1100 would not go into park and if forced in would not come out.

I traced problem to seized up shaft that goes thru cast iron console base. I spent 2 hours oiling and working the shaft loose after disconnecting all the linkage. When I finally got it all apart i drilled an oil hole into the casting about mid shaft so that it can be lubed from time to time. Funny they thought so little about park and spent so much money on the fiber bushings in the shifter linkage. Also the console base does not drain water so there is a problem with rust and lots of dirt down there.

About decals. I ordered the ones I needed from the dealer off the parts list. Many are NLA but quite a few are still available. What struck me was the cost of some of them compared to another the same size.
Several of the ones I could have used are still on someone elses shelf because I would not pay that much.
Yesterdays tractor advertises a "HOOD SET" but that is only the half of them. Their cost is about 45 bucks which is about what the dealers price was for those few.

I also took the 3 pot metal emblems to a bumper shop to have them rechromed. They are very proud of their work and I probably could have shopped around and gotten a better price but I was ready to get done so I bit the bullet.

Now I;ve discovered a major crack in the final drive case behind the PTO casting where the drawbar pivot had been jammed up into the bottom by the drain plug. Took the PTO case loose and patched the crack with JB weld as best I can. Fingers crossed I hope it holds. I can't imagine tearing that thing down to switch transmissions. I'd be real tempted to be looking for somene who needed a parts tractor.

Sounds like bent park palwllever. Probably just enough pressure on park gear while engine running through the gears or multipower. Park lever is behind right fuel tank. Drain some trany oil and fuel, swing tank out on blocks and squeeze your wrench up to remove the dozen or so 3/8 blots that hold the cover on. Never, ever force into park 1100-1155 Masseys, dead stop only. Lots of bent lever fixed over the years. Write back if more help needed. sorry, nothing on decals.
