If you have a "real" twin-power MH tractor, then the "B" is the shifting location where you are running a belt (or PTO) and you need (or want) more engine RPM's past the regular governor maximum RPM setting. This would also kick in when you are in 4th or road gear for higher RPM's when you don't really need all the power like you do when plowing, etc. I have seen a lot of MH twin powers that don't have the real twin power setup. To tell if yours has it, go to the front of the transmission (the front wall) and the location where the shifting rails come through into that square little box or housing at the front, there should be a little cast iron lever arm sticking out of the side. This is supposed to be hooked up to a long linkage rod that goes to the governor and activates a cam there which allows for the higher RPM setting at the throttle quadrant. If this rod is missing (most are) then you really don't have this option. Do you have the little cast iron lever out the side of the little box housing I was talking about first?
