PGS and PGA Pony??????

I recently purchased a MH Pony. The tag on the tractor reads PGA 2213!! I assume its a 1949 but they only show PGS in the directory until 1950. I know the PGA means adjustable front axle and PGS is standard axle,,,,, ,,,so was the adjustable an option in 1949?

My sources say PGS thru s/n 1571- then PGA starts
at 1571 and they show that as 1949 production.

I have s/n 1990A that has an adjustable axle ands no hydraulics.
