MF 3090 pto not engaging

Hi,
today when i tried to engage the pto on our 3090
the pto light came on and started flashing almost immediately. Pto attempted to turn but stopped when light started flashing. No other warning lights came on.
This happens if the pto is connected to an implement or not. Sometimes pto starts and runs ok with pto light on as normal. Any ideas what does it mean when the light starts flashing? How can I check to see what is causing this fault

If the lamp is flashing the pto has been turned off for you by the computer. As this is usually due to overload and you say you have nothing attached then the most likley cause is a loose or mal-adjusted speed sensor.
