Had the valves done and need settings for tappets and spark plugs. Any suggestions where I might find them, or what the actual settings are, would be most appreciated.
John

Good day John
don"t suppose you are a fellow Taswegian by any chance?
Any how, the valve settings for the Petrol Standard Motor are:
inlet 0.010" (0.25mm.)
exhaust 0.012" (0.30mm.)cold
Sparkplugs recommended are Champion L.10 (14mm.) with a gap setting of .30"-.032" (.76-.81mm.) Cheers Arthur from Tassy

Hi Arthur, Firstly thanks for your prompt response and the specs. I"m waiting for a head gasket etc before I can reassemble. Had a valve come off the collett and drop into the cylinder. It is now "U" shaped, incredible, but fortunately little damage to the cylinder and sleeve. I think it fell in while the engine was stopped and jammed when I tried to restart.

You suppose right, I"m in Grove near Huonville.

You may be able to help me determine what model I have. The panel on the dash shows SHMY 342000, the engine, a Bilchrome shows D93 310673, clutch assembly H 30 l and the transmission 183 253 M56. Any of this help?

John
