Has anyone experienced a temp. gauge that appears to work but doesn't go down when the engine cools off? It just started doing this and I haven't looked to see if the gauge and sending unit are seperate items. It's on a 65 UK 135. Thanks in advance for your info. Dave

On my '68 US MF-135 the gauge and the sender are one unit, a bulb that gets hot and a capillary tube to the indicator. You need to get a replacement with the same pipe fitting to go to the engine block and the same length of capilarry to reach the dash and it may be difficult to get one with a matching dial.

Thanks gerald. I would bet that they are still available? You'd think something would last more than 41 years! I had to put a new tractormeter in several years ago but the multi-power one was discontinued. The only difference is the mph listed on the gauge. My tractor goes about 22 mph down the road.

I somehow fixed my temperature gauge. It is one piece. It had a sharper bend in it under the battery that I straightened a bit and then I tapped on the gauge and it went down. I had tapped on the gauge before and it didn't move. I think the dial on the gauge was just stuck as it works fine now. I drove a brand new 245 with hydrostatic steering and it wandered a bit at top speed. Maybe because of no weight on the front and a flail mower on the back. My tractor with manual steering and a loader doesn't wander at all.

My tachometer only shows engine speed. I depend on a decal on the right fender to convert engine speed and gear to ground speed.

I've had my 135 to 25 mph but didn't keep it there, that short wheelbase makes it twitchy and I didn't think rolling down the road sideways was healthy for me or the tractor.
