I have figured out some of the production numbers for 135's. UK 1965-1971 179,400. UK 1971-1979 90,713. Total UK 270,113. Someone from Agco told me 94,013 were produced in the Southfield plant in Detroit from 1964-1975. These alone add up to 364,126. I know they made them in France and the fellow from Agco also said Spain but I have never seen anything to support this. Does anyone have any info or production numbers on these tractors made in other countries? Some countries built a lot of components for tractors in their county. I don't know if these have different serial numbers. If anyone knows they are probably on this forum. Thanks Dave

According to the serial numbers in US MF-135, there were more than 24443 made by mid 1967, and then the 9A prefix started with 1000 in '67 and started at 179544 in 1974. That might mean 178544 plus at least 24443 made, a nearly 203,000 tractors.

I thought the 94013 seemed low but I got the number from someone higher up at MF [Agco}. 9A prefixes were used for a whole bunch of different tractors and Industrial equipment. I don't think the numbers after were specific to a certain model. 24,443 US from 64-67 makes sense as they were sequential. They would have had to have a huge sales increase to go over 200,000 by 75. In the UK the biggest sales were in the first years. 30181 in 1965, 37314 in 1966[best year] and 25,708 in 1967. 93,203 UK vs. 24,443 US. The UK models were shipped all over the world more than the US models. I think the French models were also shipped all over. They were made in Spain as well. I was hoping the total production numbers were available but it is hard to find out, especially for France and Spain machines. Maybe someone out there knows? It would be interesting. Dave

I think they still make tractors there. In fact I think Banner Lane production may have been transferred there but not 100% sure. It is hard to get info from tractors built there or other countries other than the UK. I did get some info on US built tractors but info on UK tractors is easy and it's easy to figure out production numbers because of sequential serial numbers. Hopefully someone will know more? 135's are one of the most popular tractors ever made but finding out just how many they made is difficult. Thanks for your input Dave

Dave , go to this site and jump around to Massey owners in european countries .There was a big Massey plant in France " BOUVAIS " if I spelled it right. Some tractors were same but with different numbers. We have a UK 135 with loader. A real good tractor. Overhauled Perk. 3 152 diesel. Ray
