If you buy it and don't like it, you could auction it off on here and probably make a chunk of money in process. New loaders alone cost almost as much [$4000 and up for a good one]. Go fast before the line up behind you passes you. Of course everything depends on condition but this one sounds like a rare find. Good luck

You don't want it. And just to prevent you from being tempted, let me know where it's at and I'll buy it. I'll do that for you. I'm that nice of a guy!

If the Multi-Power is in working order, the hours you quoted are even close, and it's any kind of decent loader, that's a good buy. I've looked at a few junker 165's lately with price tags higher than that. (I'm shopping for just exactly what you've found)

Around here, a GOOD late production 165 diesel will bring $5500(+) in a New York minute. A GOOD loader will add $2000(+). Buying it as a package deal makes it all the better.

If you think $6500 is too high, tell me where it is. The loader, if in good shape and a good brand like MF fitted well, adds at least $3000 to the tractor. Does it have rear remote hydraulic fitting? Is the loader a qquick tach? If in good shape, it will make a nice little tractor, and very handy with the FEL. Tom

Hi,
Not sure how US prices run but if that tractor was for sale in the UK it would probably make around 3500, 4 on a good day possibly. I don't have an exchange rate to hand but I think that the $6500 is pretty close. Some points to check if you have not already done so;
If it has done a lot of loader work remove the front grill door and check the steering linkage inside, ball joints, KP bearings etc for wear.
Have someone rock the steering back and forth and look for any play as above but particularly in the main vertical shaft that goes through the casting. Whilst not generally expensive to repair- it all adds up.
Check also the clutch pedal movement. If it is a dual clutch tractor check that it has clearly defined first and second stages and that the PTO stops on its own when engaged and the clutch pressed. If it is an Independant PTO model, again check that the PTO stops when the tractor starts after a few seconds when dis-engaged. A look at the condition of the air filter is usually an indicaton of the level of maintenance it has received. Cleanish filter.....someone cares.
Hope this is of help.
DavidP

It's a steal if everything works! A new replacement is probably at least $25000 and wouldn't be much better. 165's aren't as popular as 135's but are still highly sought after tractors.
