I have a 1105 which is having oil pressure problems. When I originally start the engine the pressure is at 40. After the engine warms up it fall (at full throttle) to 15. We run straight 30 weight oil. The tractor only has 3500 hours. Last summer we did put new rings and rod bearings. We also had the head rebuilt. We assumed this would fix the problem and it hasn't. Any thoughts would be appreciated. The oil guage and line leading to it is new. I assume this only leaves the oil pump. Is there an oil that will help increase pressure. (such as LUCAS)

Thanks
Shaun

I worked on a tractor that had this very same problem on a perkins 354. Found out that what Fram had said was the right oil filter was not. figured out what the right filter was and every thing worked fine. Although I would run 15w-40, straight 30 can drop you pressure when that tractor warms up especially with that turbo.

Had a similar problem on a case tractor. Turned out to be a broken spring on the pressure relief out of the oil pump. Did you replace the pump when you put in new bearings? It was on the side of the pump and had a little roll pin hold in the spring and valve.
