When it comes to batteries the more cold cranking amps the better. The price difference from the low end to the top end is not that large. The cost of a starter is greater then the battery. Get the biggest one that will fit in the battery box with the most amps measure the box high, width and depth dont forget to add the posts. Good luck

I always tell the parts clerk I want a battery that will crank the tractor so fast that the engine slows down when it starts.

(-:

I'd suggest taking the old battery in with you - You need to trade it in anyway.

Make sure they don't sell you one that's too long, or it won't fit in your battery tray. (don't ask me how I know)

But definitely get the biggest one you can.
