I have recently inherited a MF-135. Not knowing much about tractors I am trying to keep it running. First unkown is: underneath the transmision housing on the very bottom there is an open hole. A carter pin is hanging out of this hole and a slight bit of transmision fluid is on the pin. Not a bad leak or anything. Second question is; do I check the hydraulic fluid while the engine is running of off?
please add any info you can as I said tractors are new ground for me.

.. as per the other post...

Manuals are your 1st purchase.
- and - If you haven't found them already... I believe that copies of the original manuals are available from the gracious hosts of this site.

Click on the marketplace/tractor manuals on the
left side of your screen.

by the way.. MF 135 is a good machine.

The cotter pin is drain hole. A little oil is OK.

The hyd oil is checked engine off.

You really need to purchase an owners manual, and probably a service manual. These will help a lot!

Good luck, and be carefull! You have a heavy powerfull machine.
