Larry,The Serial Number says that you have an early 1957 Standard Chassis with Standard Motors 23c diesel engine and dual clutch (live PTO). According to: Link and Link it should be Grey (tinwork) and Gold (engine, gearbox, transmission, axels. Good photo at: Link However, a search on Google will throw up pictures of FE35s with Red and Grey (they mostly appear to actually be MF35s). If yours is a UK-built Ferguson (which the serial number suggests) it should be Grey and Gold - if it is a Massey Ferguson it should be Red and Grey. Regarding the exhaust: I have an FE35 handbook that shows the exhaust going vertically down from the manifold and turning at right-angles towards the rear of the tractor and running along the underside of the right-hand footplate - ending just beyond the rear axle. Some photos on the 'net show FE35s with vertical exhausts (perhaps these are later modifications). In terms of colour: Link says that for, Detroit-built, 35s the exhaust was the same colour as the engine - although some brochures showed them with aluminium (silver) paint. Maybe the best thing is to scrape a bit of paint off here and there to see what the original colours were. Regards Scott
