Hi,just picked up a 62 MF35 with a z134 gas,was completely burnt from steering forward,have started to restore but can not find where the tach cable hooks up? this is a deluxe model,with Hi/lo trans,all gauges,oil,amp,fuel,temp tach,nuetral safty ,only paid $500 for it,perciate any help,thanks,MIKE.

If its like my MF-135 and I think it is, the tachometer cable goes to a little gear box on the back end of the generator. There's no provisions in the Continental Z engines for a direct drive off the camshaft which is how many engines do it.
