My dad bought this tractor when it was youg nad we,ve had repeated problems with all parts of the hydraulic system for years. The three point and remote are weak again. The operators manual calls for ATF type A. A number of years ago our dealer suggested we try a universal transdrulic fluid. This helped but I've still had problems. I've noticed in the forum some discussion of using 90 W mineral oil in similar tractors. Is this a good idae on the Super 90? Does everyone have these problems? Is another used pump a good idea? I would consider new parts if I could find them. Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks dad87654

I have a new auxillary hydraulic pump for a Super 90. I also have many of the parts for the hydraulic system.

Thanks for the reply. I think most of my trouble is with the main pump or the associated valving. Do you have the cylinders and pistons or any of the valves? Does anyone have any idea what is most likely to be the problem?

I have the pistons and the brass cam blocks, the intake seats, main camshaft and bushings. The hydraulic fluid such as MF 1127, MF Permatran or equivalant should work fine in a Super 90. As far as the low pressure problem, it could be many things. If the pressure is low on the remote valves also, could be blown o-rings on the stand pipe, bad releif valve, malfunctioning pump control valve or simply a bad mainpump or valves.
