My 1966 MF 165 Diesel Tractors basic hydraulics sytem quit working. The fluid was quite low, replaced all fluid with MF 1129A fluid, but still no pressure for lifting the 3 point attachment. I understand there may be a check valve or pressure relief valve that could be stuck open. I am going to research, but would appreciate any ideas, where the valves may be, and if necessary where a rebuild kit my be obtained.
Thanks in advance. I hope this message has not breached some rule of the discussion group or life.

My 165 has dual remotes. After using a no-till seeder, my basic hydraulics would no longer work.
My tractor has a lever near the gear shift that actuates the remotes. My problem: I did not pull the lever all the way to the rear after I unhooked the remote hydraulics. I thought it was all the way to the rear but it was not. After several days of frustration, I jerked the lever all the way to the rear, the basic hydraulics once again began to work. Maybe your solution is as simple.

If your fluid level was low, there maybe some air in the system. If you just work the control lever in all directions a few times you maybe able to work it out. Something to try anyway. A 165 should be a good tractor, there are always bugs to workout.
