I am having troule with our massey ferguson 245 diesel tractor. We were brush hogging and the rear hydraulics quit working. I heard that there could be a filter clogged. I would like to know if anyone has heard of this problem and if their is a filter on the massey 245. Thanks for your time.

The MF245 has a triangle shaped plate on the bottom of the rear center housing held on with 3 small bolts. Drain the oil and remove that plate be careful there will still be a little oil in it. There should be a keeper through the bolt for the filter remove the keeper, nut & spring that holds the filter up. The filter will slide out through hole in the bottom. It is rare that the filler will keep the lift arms from raising. If I can be of further email me Big Dean
