I have a MF35 that I am in the process of building a set of push tubes in order to mount a six foot blade to the front of. It appears that I could either pivot the tubes off of the rear axle at the fender mounts or fabricate a plate and pivot them off of the clutch inspection plate. Anyone with comments on which would be a stronger mounting location for the pivots on the push tubes?

The MF-236 loader I used to have on my MF-135 mounted the front support frame with 4 5/8" bolts up into the bottom of the front axle support. The rear support was bolted in place of the inspection plate on the bottom of the clutch housing with four more 5/8" bolts.

The blade that Massey-Ferguson sold for the MF35 pushed from under the fender bolts. It was called a snow blade but it would push light dirt if needed. I hope this helps Joe

Tennfire, I have a push blade on my MF50 LP that my dad adapted to it in the 1960's. It is for pushing dirt (terrasses, water ways, etc). Not rocks, trees and stumps. I don't know if this would apply to your MF35 because I don't know if they have 4-bolt flanges just in front of the engine, but here it is. It pivots from brackets bolted to the 4-bolt flange on each side of the steering bolster just in front of the engine. The brackets are from 1/2" plate. The point of pivot is 7" down and 4" back from the bottom back bolt on the 4-bolt flange of the steering bolster. This 4-bolt flange thing I am speaking of is where the front part of a front end loader would mount. From these brackets bolted to the tractor, we space out to clear the sheet metal and went to the front of the tractor with 3/8 x 3 flat bar and across the front of the tractor with 3x3x3/8 angle. Built a perch for the cylinder and braced it back to the flat bar and still get access to grills, steering, and oil bath air cleaner. Have to access thru pop in screen as hinged screen will not open very far when the bracket is on the tractor. The mounting bracket stays on the tractor all the time with the cylinder hanging. The blade frame attaches at 3 points (2 pivot points at the back off the brackets and at the cylinder up front). It is a 1 person attach/detach job. If I can be of further help with this, call me in the evenings 830-625-9710.
TKS,
Marcus
