Just bought a 1980 2745 Massey with 24spd. I noticed a bit of a slip in intermediate range only and was wondering if anyone has an idea of what it could be. It shifts smoothly out of low into intermediate but firmly goes into high. The transmission and powershift clutch oil pressure lights go on and off during operation. In intermediate, the tractor's acceleration is delayed while rpms dont seem to change, and this is just driving around, not pulling anything. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

WELL, I HAD A 2745, AND IT STARTED SLIPPING ENDED UP BEING A COMPLETE OVERHAUL OF THE TRANNY.YOU WILL NEED TO CHECK THE PRESSURE ON ALL THREE SHIFTS . IF IT IS THE TRANNSMISSION GET READY TO SPEND SOME BIG BUCKS. SOME PARTS ARE NOT EVEN OFFERED FROM AGCO. LIKE THE MAIN DRIVE DRUM AND PLANETAREY DRIVE GEARS. CALL KUHNS IMPLEMENT IN ILL. THEY WHERE VERY HELPFUL TO ME, BUT THATS BEEN A FEW YEARS BACK, GOOD LUCK
