Robin - the MH 50 was produced from 1955-57 and was an upgraded version of the Ferguson TO-35. It came in four basic configurations: utility (standard chassis), twin wheel row crop, single wheel row crop, and hi-arch. It's front end was quite different than the 35s, more heavy duty, enabling the tractors to utilize a broader range of row-crop implements. It was painted the traditional Massey-Harris colors. In 1958 it became the MF 50 and was produced through 1962, utilizing the now-traditional MF red and flint gray colors.

The Ferguson F-40 was produced in 1956-57 and was mechanically the same tractor. It had different hood and grill sheet metal. Its colors were beige and flint metallic gray, except for a few experimental, pre-production copies which were painted beige and dark metallic green.

Hope this helps.

Paul
